Untitled Trudy Furney Opera
The Untitled Opera tells the story…
of beloved local Russell High School art teacher Trudy Furney, whose impact on the community still reverberates to this day, but whose final years took a strange turn that garnered national media attention. The opera reflects the familiar themes of western Kansas wheat and oil fields, while also grappling with the complexity that exists in all of us, and how we bring that complexity to terms within ourselves and across our relationships.
